  • 1 pound of pecan halves
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 Tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  1. Preheat your oven to 250.
  2. In a large bowl whisk together the egg white, vanilla, and water until it's really frothy.
  3. In a separate smaller bowl, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Add the pecans to the egg white mixture and mix until all the pecans are coated.
  5. Add half the sugar mixture to the pecans and stir to coat them.
  6. Add the rest of the sugar mixture to the pecans and stir to coat completely.
  7. Line a large cookie sheet with wax paper.
  8. Spread the pecans over the wax paper evenly, and try to separate them as much as possible.
  9. Bake for one hour at 250, stirring every fifteen minutes. DON'T SKIP THIS STEP OR YOUR PECANS WILL STICK TO THE PAPER!!!
  10. Let the pecans cool for 15 minutes before storing or eating. Store in an air-tight container until ready to eat.
