You will need:
Avery 2×2″ Square Labels
(2) Bottles of Clear Elmer’s Glue (off brand is fine too)
1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
2 1/2 Tablespoons Contact Solution (after many messages and research with a reader, we discovered that your contact solution MUST list boric acid as an ingredient, or it will make a frothy, sticky mess that doesn’t resemble slime like it should be at ALL, so CHECK your ingredients!!!) I know FOR SURE that this one works great!
Neon Green Food Dye (we used gel)
Mason Jar (I’m linking you to plastic ones, because I couldn’t find the plastic ones in store this year) or any jar with an opening big enough to fit your hand in without it getting stuck.
Gift card (or small toys, golden dollars etc)

How to Make Elf Snot
In a mixing bowl, combine the glue, baking soda, contact solution, and neon green food coloring. Use a silicone spatula to combine it as well as you can. Once the spatula has met it’s match, switch to mixing with your hands. It will be sticky at first, but will quickly turn to stretchy slime consistency.
Place the Elf Snot in a mason jar with a lid, and keep it sealed until you’re ready to put in your gift. Add in the gift card or small toys and press the slime around them. Adhere the Elf Snot Sticker to the outside of the jar. Keep it stored in a cool, dry place until you’re ready to give your Elf Snot as a gift! It makes a great stocking stuffer too! Tie a bow around the jar, or stick an adhesive one right on top!
