Tissue paper is what creates that glowing stained glass look, and construction paper helps give your cross suncatcher a bold outline. You’ll also need contact paper or tape to hold everything in place, plus scissors for cutting your shapes.

How to Make a Cross Suncatcher

Here’s how to make your own cross suncatcher for an Easter window display.
Cut the cross template out from construction paper. If you use black it gives it that classic stained glass window effect so I personally think this is the best color to use.

Our template has all the different sections to give it the stained glass cathedral window look.
Cut squares from the tissue papers.

You can pick any colors you like best and get creative here.

Attach contact paper to the cross outline and then attach the tissue papers until you covered the entire template.

Cut the excess contact paper from the template then turn it over and it’s ready to display in the window.
