If you’re planning a first birthday and want something sweet, nostalgic, and totally adorable, a Winnie the Pooh theme is the cutest choice ever. There’s just something about those soft, cozy Hundred Acre Wood vibes that make everything feel extra special for a little one’s big day.
We recently put together a Winnie the Pooh birthday party and couldn’t resist sharing the inspiration along with our Winnie the Pooh party decor printables, because it all turned out so cute and charming.

With gentle colors and classic Pooh details, this theme is perfect for creating a warm, storybook-style celebration that feels both simple and magical.
How to throw an AWESOME Winnie The Pooh Birthday Party
Think soft colors (shades of blue, red and yellow), honey pot details, and lots of cozy storybook touches to bring the Hundred Acre Wood to life. It doesn’t have to be over the top – a few themed decorations, our printables, and some cute character accents go a long way for a super sweet first birthday setup.
Winnie The Pooh Birthday Party Food Ideas
Keep the food simple, cute, and kid-friendly with things like “hunny” snacks, fruit, and easy party treats. Little themed labels and Pooh-inspired names make even the simplest snacks feel extra special.
Winnie The Pooh Birthday Cake
A Winnie the Pooh cake instantly becomes the centerpiece and ties the whole theme together.

You can also make a birthday cake sign along with the back to front letters that are an iconic part of Winnie the Pooh, like the sign to Pooh’s house.

Our party spread included the cutest themed treats like a sweet hunny pot cake, a donut hole beehive, Rabbit’s garden vegetable tray, Eeyore’s cheer up fruit, a big bowl of Chex mix, and fun Tigger tails, and honestly each one looked just as adorable as it was tasty in the photos.
Hunny Pot Cake
Our hunny pot cake was the perfect centerpiece, inspired by Pooh’s favorite treat and so cute for a first birthday setup.

Donut Hole Beehive
The donut hole beehive was such a fun and easy idea, and it fit the Winnie the Pooh theme beautifully.

Rabbit’s Garden Vegetable Tray
Rabbit’s garden vegetable tray added a fresh, colorful touch and looked adorable styled like it came straight from the Hundred Acre Wood.

Eeyore’s Cheer-Up Fruit
Eeyore’s cheer up fruit was a sweet, simple option that balanced out all the treats and still matched the theme perfectly.

Chex Mix and Tigger Tails
The Chex mix and Tigger tails made the perfect sweet and crunchy combo, and they looked so fun together as a playful themed snack for the party table.

Kanga and Roo’s Cheesecake

Kanga and Roo’s cheesecake was styled like a little carrot garden, making it such a cute and creative dessert that fit the Hundred Acre Wood theme perfectly.

Hunny Pot Utensil Holder
The hunny pot utensil holder filled with red knives, forks, and spoons was such a simple but adorable detail that tied the whole Winnie the Pooh theme together.

Winnie The Pooh Cookies
The Winnie the Pooh iced cookies looked absolutely amazing and added such a sweet, detailed touch to the party table.

For The Rumbly In Your Tumbly Party Favors
For the “Rumbly in Your Tumbly” party favors, we used cute popcorn bags with themed tags, which were such a fun and simple takeaway for guests.

Winnie The Pooh Birthday Decor
We kept the decor soft, sweet, and storybook-inspired to match the cozy Winnie the Pooh theme. Little details and gentle colors made everything feel perfect for a first birthday celebration.
Winnie The Pooh Birthday Banner
The Winnie the Pooh birthday banner added the cutest focal point and really helped set the theme as soon as you walked into the party space.

These are so simple to print and hang. Print the banner on cardstock paper and cut it out. Use a hole punch on the top corners and then run a string or ribbon through and hang it.
Winnie The Pooh High Chair Skirt
For a first birthday, you definitely want a themed high chair skirt for those cake smash and photo moments, and the Winnie the Pooh one looked absolutely adorable and tied the whole setup together.

Outdoor Hundred Acre Wood Sign

Hundred Acre Wood Tree Sign
We placed a big wooden Hundred Acre Wood sign outside the house pointing toward the party, and it was such a cute way to welcome guests and set the theme from the moment they arrived.

Winnie The Pooh About Me Printable Poster
The About Me printable poster was such a cute way to share little facts about the birthday child and made a lovely, personal touch for guests to read.

GENERAL PRINTABLE PARTY PACK TIPS
PRINTING
I get these printed professionally to save on ink and to make sure they’re high quality. I find it cheaper for me to have some place like Staples or the UPS Store print these for me than it is to use my printer’s ink. Maybe I just need a new printer.
Print most things on cardstock, with the exception of things like water bottle labels which work best on regular paper so they’re more pliable.
Check the printable pack before printing so you can make sure you get enough of each item that you need. I only include a single shet of water bottle labels (which is 5 labels) so if you’re planning on having 30 bottles of water, make sure you print six of that page so you have enough. Use that same line of thinking with food cards, cupcake toppers etc.
CUTTING
Channel your inner Kindergarten self and do your best cutting along the edges of these. When in doubt, go into the edge of the color to ensure there are no white edges. White edges will make it look sloppy. Use good scissors or you’ll be mad.
SUPPLIES
Outside of the printables, you will need a few other things to make your printables work for your party.
You will also need:
Scissors
Hole Punch
Tape
Toothpicks
Bamboo Skewer Sticks
Ribbon or Twine
No matter how big or small your Winnie the Pooh Birthday Party is, I’m sure it will be amazing! If you used any of my ideas or printables, I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
