I decided to make my own Pom-Pom Ornament. Since I was doing it for my tree this year, I figured I’d share how I did it with you so you could save yourself some moolah too! It takes two minutes!

How do you make a Pom Pom Ornament DIY?

You will need: – Fluffy yarn – Thin ribbon or twine  – Cardboard – Scissors

First you will need to get a piece of cardboard as big or bigger than the size you want your Pom Pom Ornament to be.

Trace an item like a bowl or cup that has the size of circle you want your Pom-Pom Ornament to be. Then draw a smaller circle on the inside.

Use scissors to cut out the circle like I showed in the picture above.

Wrap your Pom-Pom Ornament template in fat, fluffy yarn. The more yarn you wrap, the more full your  Pom-Pom Ornament would be.

Once you have it wrapped, cut the yarn. Then cut a piece of yarn that’s about 8″ long. Wrap that through the hole in the template, and around the yarn, and tie it as tight as you possibly can.
