Add 1 cup self-rising flour and 1 cup plain yogurt to a bowl.
Mix them together until a soft dough forms.
Lightly flour your work surface and knead the dough for about 1 minute until smooth.
Divide the dough into equal pieces.
Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten and roll into a naan shape.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add a little butter or oil if using.
Place one naan in the pan and cook until bubbles form and the bottom looks golden.
Flip it over and cook the other side until golden brown.
Repeat with the remaining dough pieces.
Serve warm, or brush with butter and garlic for garlic naan.
