Ingredients

  • 1 Box of White Cake Mix
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • Food Coloring

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375F
  • In a large bowl, combine cake mix, oil, and eggs, and beat until smooth.
  • Separate the dough in as many batches as you want colors.
  • Dye the dough using gel or powdered food coloring.
  • Wrap them in plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Roll tablespoon-sized balls in powdered sugar until heavily coated.
  • Place dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 375F.
  • Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack to cool. As they're cooling, press the eye candies gently into the tops of the cookies.
  • Let the cookies cool on a cooling rack for 10 minutes before serving or eating.

Notes

  • Colors. Change the colors of the cookies to match your party theme! Go traditional, or spice it up like I did and make them bright and cheery!
  • Eyeball Candies. Use different size eyeball candies to make them different, or use a food coloring marker to make designs on the eyes themselves or change their color!
  • Cake Mix. Change the flavor of the cake mix to change the flavor of the cookies! Keep in mind it will change the color of the cookies too.
