Best Tips for Making This Patriotic Fruit Salad

While this recipe is very straightforward, there are a few tips I want to share for making this the best fruit salad ever!
  1. Make sure your fruit is ripe – You’re probably thinking, DUH! But this is something that often gets overlooked. So make sure that you are choosing strawberries and dragon fruit that are ripe and sweet. Otherwise, this salad is going to be very tart! Usually, you don’t have to worry about watermelon and blueberries as much, but the other two ingredients might be an issue.
  2. Chill before serving – If possible, make this fruit salad a few hours, or up to 2 days, in advance. This will allow the fruit to be fully chilled which always makes for a better experience on a hot summer day!
