Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2-1 cup cold water

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 part salt with 2 parts flour, stirring to distribute evenly.
  • Slowly add cold water, a little at a time, stirring continuously.
  • Once the dough starts coming together, transfer it to a clean surface and knead it until smooth. If it's too dry, add a few drops of water; if it's too sticky, add a little more flour.
  • For added fun, mix in food coloring or a few drops of essential oil to create colorful and scented playdough.
  • Keep the playdough in an airtight container or sealed bag to prevent it from drying out. In the fridge it will last for many months, or at room temperature it will last for about 2-3 months in a bag or container.
