This no-cook homemade playdough is soft, easy to shape, and lasts for months when stored properly. With just three simple ingredients, it’s a great hands-on activity that encourages sensory play and creativity. Plus, you can customize it with different colors and scents for an extra fun experience!
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 part salt with 2 parts flour, stirring to distribute evenly.
Slowly add cold water, a little at a time, stirring continuously.
Once the dough starts coming together, transfer it to a clean surface and knead it until smooth. If it's too dry, add a few drops of water; if it's too sticky, add a little more flour.
For added fun, mix in food coloring or a few drops of essential oil to create colorful and scented playdough.
Keep the playdough in an airtight container or sealed bag to prevent it from drying out. In the fridge it will last for many months, or at room temperature it will last for about 2-3 months in a bag or container.
