If you’re looking for a fun Toy Story craft, make this DIY Forky! With the release of Toy Story 4, everyone is already in love with Forky, the fun and spunky toy that insists he’s not a toy!
This is one Disney Pixar craft that is easy to make, and kids will have a blast creating! You likely already have most of the supplies needed to make this post, but if not, I have a supply list below for your convenience. Let’s get crafting!

DIY Forky
You will need:
Plastic Spork (apparently hard to find in stores, but easy to find on Amazon!)
Red Pipe Cleaner
Large Popsicle Stick
One Small and One Large Googly Eye
White Sculpey Clay
Blue T-Shirt Paint
Red T-Shirt Paint
Glue Stick
Pink Blush
Mini Rainbow Sticker (I used these)
Hot Glue Gun
Assemble all your supplies and get ready to make your DIY Forky! I started off by making the white clay base. You will need to bake it, so it’s important you make it first so it’s finished. Make your imperfect small mountain shape for the base. Be sure to press the bottom flat using a flat surface to it’s perfectly smooth on the bottom. Insert the bottom of the spork into the top of it, so it makes a perfect slot for it to fit once the clay is done baking.
I baked mine at 250 degrees for 30 minutes in the oven. Follow the directions on your Sculpey clay for best results.

Next, you can start working on the spork portion of your DIY Forky. Use one full size red pipe cleaner to make his arms. Each hand has three fingers, so bend like a child would, and it should turn out great. I used puffy t-shirt paint for his mouth, and should have also used it on his uni-brow. I’d use it on both if I made another one, and you should too! Make sure to use two different sizes of googly eyes or his face won’t look right.
His mouth has MANY different expressions, so pick your favorite, and go with it. I liked this little surprised mouth, so that’s what I chose.
So, to achieve the blush look on his face, I just used a little dab of a glue stick, and then a little puff of bright pink blush we had left from a dance recital. Worked perfectly!
Once your clay base id done baking and has cooled enough for you to handle it, then you can glue on the popsicle stick feet. I used hot glue to attach the pieces. I used scissors to snip off two lengths of popsicle stick that were about the same length and then glued them on the bottom of the clay. Don’t forget to add your cute little rainbow sticker to complete your DIY Forky details.
Use hot glue to secure the spork into the clay base you made. I also used a bit of hot glue to secure the pipe cleaner arms to the spork as well, so they wouldn’t just fall off.
And that’s how you make your very own DIY Forky! He’s super cute and I can’t wait to see him in Toy Story 4! It comes out June 21st, 2019 and I can’t wait to get tickets and take my kids! There’s so many fun new characters this time, and I know it’s going to be great!
Here’s a little side by side so you can see my version next to the movie version. I’m pretty happy with how mine turned out! He’s such a fun design and really brings to life all those cute little ideas kids come up with in their imaginations. What new Toy Story 4 character are you most excited to see?
